Two bright spots in our Lives

1. India reached the finals of Asia Cup Cricket by beating our arch rivals Pakistan! It was a picture perfect, last ball, nail-biting finish. We, however, just watched the last few minutes of the match. Can’t help it. Football comes once in 4 years and our cricket matches go on all like forever and ever. Couldn’t these guys pause playing just for 1 month?

2. New-Zealand equalled Mighty Italy!

Daddy was supporting Italy and we, New-Zealand, our friend Koda’s Team.
Mummy, however, was confused. The Kiwis were playing wonderfully but some of the Italian players are so handsome…!!Like Rossi here.

In the end our entire family was happy. But we still think New-Zealand missing that last 'JUST-IN' shot was very unfortunate.

Still, it was better than yesterday.

This says it all.

Why couldn’t he take better care of his ankle? Agreed. he was looking rather handsome and smart in that zillion dollar suit, but we like him better out there in the field.

No point raving and ranting at his players from the stands, is there now, when he couldn’t come up with a better plan. Was he shouting in Italian or English? We would like to know.

And yeah, yeah Rooney, we can understand why you are angry. But you can't really blame your fans , can you, after that performance by a hot favourite team?

And then, there was this downer.

Daisy, Kendra, Bella…..our paws are crossed.

To top it all, Mummy told us today that the French are unwilling to train because their best striker Nicolas Anelka isn’t allowed to play anymore.

Can’t blame them. We wouldn’t like it too.
But what will they do about their final match? Will they be out of this world cup soon?

Honestly, this event is a thriller in itself! Dog knows what else is coming…..

Wags,

Pee Ess: Mummy says ‘thanks’ for caring about Biswas. Will tell you a little more about her some time soon.

Oh my dogness. It's so much more exciting when you tell about it. I'm really sort of ignorant when it comes to anything but baseball, but you make it all so clear and compelling. Perhaps they should have Labracommentators at these games. I know I'd watch every minute. So would my humans. They'd have to.

Dear me! I really don't like football but cricket is a different matter. Our daughter-in-law doesn't really appreciate it but her father was a very good cricketer and her uncle, his brother, is Farokh Engineer. My father would have loved to have known that!

Congrats on beating Pakistan! Yeah, cricket seems to be year round here. Either they're playing here or England or somewhere.

Thanks for barracking (rooting is a rude word here)for our team. We're sure that's what made them play better. Not out yet.

Hope Buddy and Ginger aren't missing out on walkies....spectator sports aren't good exercise.

You've been following it closer than we have! I'm a bit disappointed that the French are being such poor sports, though. I just hope to watch a lot more exciting games! There have been so many that are really close!
